CEO
Richard has participated in the Electrical
Contracting Industry for the past thirty eight year’s. Richard Flanagan and
Company commenced trading on 10th August 1987 and has since grown to be one
of the most respected Electrical Engineering and Contracting Companies in
Queensland
Richard has a strong commitment to the training of Apprentices and the
up-skilling of existing staff. This commitment was evidenced by his
lecturing to Gold Coast Institute of TAFE for 17 years

Kevin
Danny Wilson
Communication and Security Supervisor
Danny has been in the data/communications/electronics field for in excess of
40 years, 10 of those years in Queensland with Richard Flanagan and Company
as our Data/Security Manager.
He is licenced/accredited in electronics, data solutions, communications
cabling and security systems installations.
Whether it is a full installation design, install or maintenance, Danny and
his experienced team have the necessary working knowledge to provide a
satisfactory outcome.

Veivers
Special Projects & QA Manager
Kevin is a qualified Electrical Fitter and Mechanic and also holds a WHSO
qualification and Diploma of Business
He started in the electrical industry in 1972, firstly with the Supply
Authority before moving in construction in the late 70’s. Kevin has been
with Richard Flanagan for just over 20 years and has managed a diverse range
of commercial, industrial and automation projects both in Australia and
Europe for our clients.
He handles design coordination, QA, WH&S and Environmental considerations
for our construction and automation works, where the continued involvement
of a very experienced tradesman/designer is considered desirable.
Kevin can rightly take pride in the fact that RFC designs are virtually
error-free.

Matthew O’Brien
General Manager
Appointed to the position of General Manager of Richard Flanagan & Co in
July 2008, Matthew O’Brien has over fifteen years experience in the
construction industry.
With a reputation for his ability to deliver first class results, Matthew
has moved through the ranks of Richard Flanagan from electrician to Site
Manager to his current role as General Manager garnering experience and
respect from colleagues and contemporaries along the way.
Matthew represents the new generation in the Australian Construction
industry, highly industrious and professional, moving away from its ‘blue
collar’ image. Matthew has lead projects along the Eastern seaboard of
Australia from Cairns in the north to Coolangatta in the South.

Paul Kennedy
Estimating and Client Relationships Manager
Paul is a qualified Electrical Mechanic with a Diploma of
Business and over 30 years experience in Construction Industry
installations.
Beginning at Finlayson and Vaughan in 1973 he has been involved with a multitude of projects
including Retail Shopping Centre's, high-rise developments, Hospital
Installations, Commercial Electrical & Data Communication Installations,
High Voltage, Audio and Theme Park.
With extensive Australasian experience he now heads the Estimation
Department of Richard Flanagan & Company.

Col Jermyn
Gold Coast Specialist Services Manager
Colin has been
employed by Richard Flanagan and Company for over 10 years and has work
experience in all states of Australia,
New Zealand, Asia and the Pacific Islands
He has been actively
involved in the Electrical Industry for 31 years mainly in
construction, data, fibre, MATV, electronics, mining, commercial and
domestic installations.
Himself a qualified
Electrical Tradesman and ACA cabler, licenced in New
South Wales, Queensland,
Western Australia and Northern Territory. Colin runs an experienced
team well situated to provide a full back up service to our construction
team.

Les Dallinger
Construction Manager
Les has worked in the Electrical Industry for 42 years mainly in Queensland
and Papua New Guinea.
A qualified Electrical Tradesman and ACA licensed Cabler with a Certificate
in Contract Administration.
Les has an extensive knowledge of the construction industry through his own
contracting company for 10 years and management roles with Starelec,
O’Donnell Griffin, The Sunland Group and Richard Flanagan and Company. He
has gained experience ranging from remote community power generation and
distribution, government contracts of schools, court houses, corrective
facilities, primary industries, Expo 88, hospitals, shopping centre’s and a
significant number of residential high-rise developments too numerous to
mention, but including Central Plaza II Brisbane, Q1 and Circle on Cavill
Gold Coast.

John Cave
Water Technologies Manager
After gaining his electrical licence in 1979 John worked for various
electrical companies in Townsville before relocating to Brisbane in 1990.
During John’s 9 years working for Richard Flanagan and Company he has been
involved with numerous projects including the Indooroopilly Shopping Town
Stage 6 Re-development, the Southbank re-development, the 400 bed expansion
of the Woodford Correctional Centre, Club Conrad & Staff Car park Expansion,
preparation works for design & construction of the process control system at
the Swanbank Landfill Gas Burner Management System, Cleveland STP
Augmentation works and involvement in the construction of the 12 story
Brisbane Magistrates Court.
The past 4 years John has worked in the role of Senior Project Manager on
the Waste Water Treatment projects of various Alliances.
He is currently overseeing the upgrade works associated with the Merrimac
WWTP and Murrumba Downs AWTP Stage 1 & WWTP Stage 2. John recently completed
overseeing the MFRO upgrade works at the Wynnum WWTP. John’s prior projects
included working as the project supervisor with the BWEA – Sandgate, Oxley,
Wacol alliance works. These works involved the upgrade of the Sandgate,
Oxley & Wacol BNR plants, Oxley De Was, OCU 4 plants and Oxley Digester “Ex”
works and the Cambi Thermal Hydrolysis Plant.
John offers a great wealth of knowledge and experience having worked the
construction of coal wash plants in the Central Queensland coal mining areas
and major commercial projects in North Queensland.
