This year after consulting with various industry advisors the Awards recognized the achievements made across the entire electrical industry bringing together a broad spectrum of participants making this event not only a fantastic way to recognise the nominated but also a great networking opportunity for our industry. It was wonderful to see such a strong support for these Awards.
There were three major categories and the for 2004 at the ECA Outstanding Achievement Awards including:

1. Outstanding Projects - open for nomination
by ECA members in a range of sectors for projects that were 'above and beyond' the average scope of works for that particular company.

2. Individual Achievement - open to any
person in the Electrical & Communications
Industry who had shown
contributions and outstanding commitment with
their field.

3. Community Award - open to ECA members,
this award recognised corporate citizenship and
contributions a company or individual made to
a community.

The final standout award was the ECA industry
Award, which was selected and presented
by ECA for outstanding contributions made
by a company or individual, to the Electro-
technology industry.

Rugby celebrity Chris 'Buddha' Handy
presented the awards during a glittering
ceremony, with each nominee's project (from
conception to end product) was on display.

Thanks must go to the judging panel, chaired by
Callum Ford and supported by Harry Hollis as
this year there was a high standard of projects,
companies and individuals nominated which
made judging quite a challenge as all these
nominations exhibited a great deal of effort and
pride.

A great time was had by all as many of the
nominees took advantage of the opportunity
to demonstrate their success to their clients
by inviting them to participate in the luncheon
ceremony.
